Ella Sweat holds the original Sweat's Seafood sign, Christmas 1977

Ella Mae Sweat presents the sign for the original Sweat’s Seafood next to a proud Calvin Cooledge on the hearth, Christmas 1977.

The original sign made for Grandpa’s shop by Uncle Peewee/Willie Sweat is currently at our shop in Ellijay today.

Alan Sweat worked with his father Calvin C. Sweat to open the original Sweat’s Seafood in 1977. Father and son shared a love of good food, of knowing where their food came from, and of connecting with their family and friends around a good meal.

CC’s Seafood and More is how our family is continuing to live those values.

We help you stock your fridge and pantry with the highest quality foods that are fresh, delicious, and good for our community.

We do our homework to make sure we support local businesses, and offer you foods you can trust are sustainably grown and harvested—and good for our local ecology and environment.

We believe that food connects a community, and that how we eat has the potential to bring us together. Our love for connecting with people through food is a family tradition, and we’re so happy to share it with you.

Our Commitments.

Sustainable Seafood

We work to stock plenty of seafood that is caught or farmed in the Southeastern U.S., and we aim to only carry seafood rated “Good Choice,” “Certified,” or “Good Alternative” by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch program.

Supporting Local

We care about supporting our community, too—and our community has plenty of good things to eat. That’s why we also sell the highest quality meat, produce, and goods produced by farms and small businesses right here in North Georgia, from suppliers like North Georgia Meats, Ellijay Mushrooms, and Engelheim Vineyards.

Check out this week’s fresh meat, seafood, and produce.
